SKS GERMANY once again a “bike-friendly employer”
Awarded the gold certificate
Great joy at SKS GERMANY: The company has been awarded the gold EU-wide “Bike-Friendly Employer” certificate by the German National Cyclists’ Association (ADFC). “SKS GERMANY supports employees who use their bike to commute to work with various measures and can therefore score points in the areas of sustainability, health and mobility management,” explains ADFC Project Manager Sara Tsudome.
As part of the audit, SKS GERMANY was able to impress with a comprehensive range of services for its employees. These include a secure bicycle storage room with e-bike charging stations, changing rooms and showers, a bike workshop and a company bike leasing option. These measures make it particularly easy for SKS commuters to use their bikes for their daily journey to work.
Back in 2018 and 2021, SKS GERMANY received the silver certificate, but everyone is even more delighted with the gold status. “Even if the award is certainly not a surprise for us as a company in the bicycle industry, this recognition makes us proud,” says HR Manager Josef Levermann. “Promoting professional commuting by bike is in line with the goals of our sustainability strategy.” Christoph Hillebrand, who is responsible for occupational health management is also delighted: “The certificate is a great reward for our efforts, especially in terms of promoting the health and well-being of our employees.”
