SKS CEO Michael Beste and Sales Manager Marcel Spork have recently made a review of the year 2013 as part of a sales conference – and were doing very satisfied. Despite the difficult start of the year SKS managed to realize an increase in sales in all product categories. The main drivers here were the Snap-on mudguards and air pumps as well as the new distribution of the Italian saddle brand Selle San Marco.
SKS exported in more than 50 countries and realized increases in almost all major markets. In the area of the Direct Sales to dealers, which was introduced in Germany and Austria in 2009, SKS speaks of a true success story. “We were able to increase the number of direct customers by several hundred every year. We are particularly pleased that we sell more not only in depth but are now also placed noticeably wider at most retailers.”, says Marcel Spork.
In the future, SKS will continue to strengthen the successful strategy of “Made in Germany” in combination with a high level of service. “Only through the joint efforts of all staff, from production to sales, it was and is possible to prove our strategy in times of increasing globalization as a very competitive way.
